A REMU Crossover Bucket has helped recycle the waste pulp from olive oil production, which is used to fuel biomass fired power stations.
The material is removed from evaporation ponds and stockpiled to dry further before being fed to the boilers. Clumps tend to form, which cause problems with the corkscrew feeder mechanisms for the power stations boilers. The solution has been to process the waste pulp (which has up to 50% moisture content) with an XO2090 Screener Crusher Bucket mounted on a Volvo ECR-88 mini excavator.
The customer, based in Spain, reports a production of 35 ton/hour and is very happy with the bucket.
